Roots and Wings: The Practice That Changes Everything
This week’s practice brings clarity, confidence, and a beautiful balance of grounded presence and bold expansion.

This week, I walked our community through a visualization and journaling process that I’ll be using again and again—and I want you to have it too.
Why?
Because when life feels scattered, uncertain, or just a lot, the most powerful thing you can do is come back to your roots… and remember you’ve got wings.
This process helps you:
Remember what grounds you
Reconnect with your purpose
Reflect on the people, rituals, and strengths that already support you
And imagine yourself rising higher—from that rooted place
It’s a simple practice with a powerful ripple effect.
Try This: The Root Mapping Process
This guided reflection has six parts (you can grab the full PDF here):
Name your soil.
List 5 non-negotiable core values that feel like home.Why this seed exists.
Write 1–2 sentences answering: Why am I here?Your nutrients.
List the gifts and strengths others thank you for—even if they feel “small” to you.The mycelium of support.
Who nourishes you—mentors, friends, furry companions?Your water and sun.
What daily grounding rituals help you feel centered?Your rooted affirmation.
I am grounded in purpose and lifted by possibility. Today, I walk with both roots and wings.
New Daily Ritual: Ground + Elevate
Here’s a two-part rhythm to help you stay centered in your truth and step into new possibility:
🌄 Morning (3 min)
Say the affirmation:
I am grounded in purpose and lifted by possibility. Today, I walk with both roots and wings.
Then breathe deeply and anchor yourself into the day.
🌙 Evening (5 min)
Journal on:
Where did I rise higher today—and what felt exhilarating about it?
This eight-minute practice is deceptively powerful. You’ll start to see patterns—where your purpose shows up strong, and where your wings need a stretch.

Take 10–15 minutes to explore this:
